Arbonne RE9 Advanced Prepwork Micellar Water & Overnight Face Jelly

I am way to delayed on posting this review and I wish I had posted it earlier because these Arbonne products deserve to be displayed! As you can see, I took these photos back in the summer (when there was no snow), and I’ve been using the products ever since. I guess with me taking so long, I can give you a great review since I’ve been using them for a while. Arbonne’s RE9 Advanced Prepwork collection is full of cleansing and hydrating products which work great day and night.

First up is Arbonne’s RE9 Advanced Prepwork Micellar Water ($25 CDN). Much like other micellar waters, this 3-in-1 formula removes dirt and oil after cleansing – or if you’re like me, use it as your cleanser when you’re too tired to actually wash your face thoroughly (don’t worry, I wash it properly in the morning!). Arbonne’s Micellar Water refreshes your skin without drying it out, and there’s no need to rinse it off.  You just apply some to a cotton pad and wipe it all over your face and neck. This product also has radish root, prickly pear, and apple fruit extracts to nourish skin, as well as coconut water to help condition your skin.

I found Arbonne’s Micellar Water to be very gentle, and it really did take off excess makeup that I missed when cleansing my skin prior. I also like to use it after the gym for a quick pick me up, and to get rid of all the sweat from the workout haha. The only thing I’m not thrilled about is the price point. For $25 CDN, I’d expect a much bigger bottle of product, because I can go to my local drugstore and pick-up another brand’s micellar water for under $20 which is 3x the size.

Next up is Arbonne’s RE9 Advanced Prepwork Overnight Face Jelly ($48 CDN). These overnight products always amuse me – on one hand, I like that they’ll provide extreme amount of hydration overnight, but on the other hand, will it get my pillows and bed sheets messy? I suppose a bit of both, and the pros outweigh the cons. Arbonne’s Overnight Face Jelly is a lightweight gel that replenishes your skin’s natural moisture barrier to restore dehydrated skin while you sleep. It’s packed full of super foods containing vitamin C & E, antioxidants, & omegas which provide the ultimate hydration overnight.

It does go on very light and doesn’t leave as much of a film over my skin as I thought. So whether it leaves residue on my bed sheets or not, I’ll never really know… As far as the product doing its job, I do think it provides hydration overnight, but I would prefer to use a think moisturizer over this. The price point doesn’t bother me as much as the micellar water because for the size, it’s about average when compared to other products in the market.

Overall, I do like Arbonne’s RE9 Advanced Prepwork Micellar Water & Overnight Face Jelly, but I wouldn’t trade any of my current products for them. Mainly due to price difference and overall effectiveness.
