A couple of months ago, Josh & I headed over to Terre Bleu Lavender Farm to get our engagement photos taken. Our photographer, Alina Elvins, actually gave us choices of where to take our photos and once she gave the option of Terre Bleu, I knew we had to pick that! Purple is going to be our colour theme for our wedding, so it was a no brainer! I actually found Alina through Instagram and am SO happy we connected because the photos she took of us are breathtaking!
When we saw the album of our photos, we were blown away! The light colours and airiness of the photos make us look straight out of a fairy tale. Terre Bleu was a great location to shoot – it wasn’t too far from home, and the time of the year was perfect to shoot. There were honeybees all around, but they didn’t seem to bother us at all. We met up with the owner of Terre Bleu who let us know that the bees are only interested in the lavender. So there was nothing to worry about on our end. The farm was exceptionally well kept, and since we shot in the evening when the farm is closed to the public, we got some awesome shots without anyone in the background.
Can I just say, I am obsessed with these photos! I cannot wait to move out and blow these up onto canvases.

The whole experience was so fun; it went by smoothly and SO quick (so quickly that we were sad it was finished). Josh hates having his photo taken, and after our session was finished, he wouldn’t stop saying how easy and fun the experience was. Alina was so friendly and made us feel like superstars. She did have set poses for us, but was open to other ideas from us. I wanted to post these photos on my instagram, but if you’ve noticed, Josh doesn’t like to appear on my instagram. So I got some good shots of his back to the camera, and me in full view. So not only am I protecting his image, but I get to portray mine 😉
I would HIGHLY recommend booking any engagement shoots, weddings, or any other special events with Alina Elvins Photography. She made us feel so at ease, and we couldn’t be happier with our photos. Alina was so professional, but warm hearted and it felt like I was seeing an old friend.
