Summer Hair Goals with Finesse, Conair, & Scunci

My skin and hair are things I’ve always put extra care into because I want them to look their best. Living in Canada and going through 4 different seasons is definitely not easy on my skin or hair. I’ve noticed my hair gets greasy quicker in the summer, probably because of sweat and hair products possible melting from the heat (if that’s even a thing haha). Not only does it get greasy, but the FRIZZ is unmanageable. I’ve got just the right products to get the perfect Summer Hair Goals.. or All Year Hair Goals if you will 🙂

Summer Hair Goals with Finesse, Conair, & Scunci

Finesse has come out with a newly formulated Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner to save you from all your hair concerns! Their new formula is thicker and richer, which will leave your hair silky smooth and calm down the frizz. I have used Finesse in the past and I can really tell a difference in the formula now. It lathers up much more and my hair does seem less frizzy. I do have naturally wavy, frizzy hair, so it’s not that my frizz goes away but it’s definitely easier to control. The best part though – Finesse products are UNDER $3 at Walmart.ca!!

Before & After straightening my hair

As you can see in my before/after of my hair, my hair is quite frizzy naturally – and this is even after using Finesse’s Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner. To really help tame my hair for the summer, I used Conair’s Unbound Cordless Flat IronA cordless hair tool like this is completely new to me! I love the idea of having something like this ready to take on the go – especially when I go to events after work and don’t have time to go home and touch up my hair. The Unbound Flat Iron does everything a flat iron should – heats up to either 280, 320, 360, or 400°F, has titanium plates, & an LED display. It also comes with a charging cord and a  heat-resistant pouch.

In all honesty, I loved the convenience of this flat iron. I didn’t have to hold it in an uncomfortable position because of cords, or have to worry about sitting close to a plug. I am so used to products always being plugged in and providing 100% power at all times, so I was a bit skeptical at first on how hot this iron would get and how long it would stay hot. A full charge should give you up to 25 minutes of working time, but with having such unruly hair and making sure my hair is perfect when done, sometimes means I need at least an hour. I might reach for a more traditional flat iron (corded) to get the job done first, but I’ll always have this as my back-up for work, travelling, and quick touch-ups when I’m not home (or if I’m home but want to watch TV while doing my hair haha!).

Now, whether I have frizzy, straight, wavy, curly, or greasy hair, one thing is for sure – hair accessories are a must! I either clip or tie my hair back at least twice a day when I’m going for a walk, cooking, or just annoyed of having my hair in my face at any given time. Scunci, a conair hair accessory brand, has a TON of products that’ll look great in everyone’s hair. They sent me a collection of hair scrunchies (omg!), headbands, and the most unique hair clip I’ve ever had.  I’ve been using these types of products for years, but I think they’re all making huge comebacks lately – especially the scrunchies! I am obsessed with all these hair accessories, they fit perfectly into my lifestyle!

Summer Hair Goals with Finesse, Conair, & ScunciIf you’re looking to upgrade the products in your bathroom & get those #SummerHairGoals, you can find ALL of these products over at Walmart, or online at select retailers. Let me know if you end up getting any of them – I’d love to hear your thoughts on how you’re getting Hair Goals!
