Ever since I went to a previous Schwarzkopf Professional event a couple of years ago, I have been obsessed with their products! My best friend owns her own salon & also raves about the products as she uses them all the time. My first experience trying their products was great – I tried their Hyaluronic Moisture Kick set, and a purple shampoo made to remove brassiness from blonde hair. This event was about 3 years ago and I still have fond memories of the products!
Schwarzkopf Professional’s BC Bonacure line is a targeted hair care line, inspired by skin care. There are 6 different sets of products to target different hairs needs. I opted to try out the Peptide Repair line as my hair is highlighted/bleached and has seen much better days. I should say though, this past year has given me a real break from heat damage since I haven’t been going out or needing to style my hair as often. I would like to bring my hair back to a healthier and smoother look, so I’ll be using this shampoo, conditioner, & hair serum constantly over the next couple of weeks.
Their Peptide Repair line says it can repair damaged and distressed hair in just one use. I, honestly, have never seen or felt an immediate difference in my hair from using a shampoo or conditioner, but I have with hair products (serums, creams), so I was curious to see if this would do anything. Sadly, I haven’t seen any immediate difference – BUT, that doesn’t mean it’s not working. Hair is so thin, that it would be hard to see a difference in each strand. I really like the shampoo as it lathers up nicely and I can feel that it’s clean, but the conditioner is a no go for me. It was super thin and watery, and even using a good size amount felt like I didn’t put enough in my hair.
Schwarzkopf Professional’s Peptide Repair Rescue Nutri-Shield Serum really intrigued me. I didn’t notice it had two sides to the bottle (even after reading it front & back), so when I pumped it into my hand, I was surprised by the two different colours. This serum works double duty – it repairs and protects it against heat damage! I can say that after using the serum & blowdrying my hair, it was a lot smoother and less frizzy; it also smells good too!
In all honesty, if I was looking to buy a new shampoo and conditioner, this wouldn’t be it. If I needed a new serum to protect my hair against heat damage – this one would definitely be a top choice!
