Arbonne – TrueStyle Collection

by Maddy (spilledpolish)

Arbonne Truestyle CollectionFor the past couple of years, I’ve always known Arbonne for their makeup and skincare. I had no idea they had hair products, so I was excited when I received the Arbonne TrueStyle Collection. This collection has three products which are made for a variety of hair types.

Over the past 2 months, I’ve been staying home because of Coronavirus and all the closures, so I haven’t styled my hair with heat and have been letting it dry with its natural texture (wavy). The TrueStyle Defining Curl Cream (with Shea Butter) ($38 CDN) is my go-to product in this collection. It has a light formula, but holds my hair well to help the waves form nicely without frizz. I applied it to my hair, out of the shower, then slowly blow dried it with a diffuser. When dried, my hair didn’t feel crunchy or stiff – the shea butter, argan oil, and pea proteins in this cream really help hydrate my hair while providing the protection against humidity and wind.

Alongside the defining curl cream, I usually put an oil in my hair to tame frizz no matter how I style it. The TrueStyle Anti-Frizz Dry Oil (with Pequi Oil) ($38 CDN) controls frizz, protects against heat damage, and delivers so much shine to your hair. A little bit of this product goes a long way, so although the bottle is small, it will definitely last a while! It’s made with Pequi Oil, which I’ve never heard of before, but it’s a source of vitamin A, helps control frizz by smoothing your hair. Avocado and olive oil are also combined in this dry oil, which help fight against environmental dryness.

Lastly, we have the TrueStyle Texturizing Pomade (with Shea Butter) ($30 CDN). Now, this product isn’t meant for hair my length, because a pomade is meant to provide texture and definition to short hair. My mom has short hair, so she snagged this up from me right away and has been using it for the past week. She said she liked the hold it gave, and it held up against the weather (she is outside constantly, and walks for 3+ hours a day!). Much like the other products, it’s made with ingredients that will provide moisture and protection all day long.

In all honesty, Arbonne has always provided high quality products and I haven’t been unhappy with anything I’ve ever used. The price tag is a bit high for me, personally, but if the products work and do what they say – I would pay for them and recommend them.
