Wet n Wild’s 2017 Product Launch Event

Last week I was invited to Wet n Wild’s 2017 new product launch. I can never attend these types of events because they usually fall on a Thursday evening and I’m always at work. It was held downtown Toronto inside The Loft at Baro. I went with my friend Elena from NailExperiments, and ended up also being with a ton of other bloggers from the Canadian Beauty Bloggers network.

When we got to the location, I was delighted to see posters on the walls leading up the stairs of Wet n Wild’s promotional pictures. Right before getting into the event, we had to register with a hostess & check in our jackets. We got there right as the event started, so there were only a handful of us there when we entered the event. We got to take polaroid photos and peruse the new items. There was also a bar set up with a signature drink for the event.. which, of course, I went to straight away.

Wet n Wild had one of those carnival claw machines where you have a chance to win a prize – which I actually won on my first try! The little box I had won included three of the new products from the launch. They also had servers going around with appetizers, a live DJ, dancers, an artist who was painting giant eyes on a canvas (which looked way better than I make it sound haha), and even makeup artists ready to give anyone a quick makeover.

Around the room, they also had tables set up with the new product launches and testers of every shade the product was available in. A representative was standing by so they can answer any questions and give us all the information on the products. Some of their new products included their Photo Finish Foundation & Concealer, MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick, & their Lash Renegade Mascara. After spending some time checking everything out, it was time to go. On our way out we got a gift bag filled with all the new products they have coming out this year – the only downside was that the foundations & concealers were chosen at random, so I received a concealer that was two shades to dark for my skin tone. But I can save it and use it in the summer!
