Conair Pet Brushes Review

I’m a dog person; I’ve had 3 dogs throughout my life and I don’t know if I could ever live without one. My current dog, Windsor, is a chow chow and it takes a lot of work to brush through his fur. With all that fur and shedding, it’s easy to tell my dog HATES being groomed – especially when using a wire brush to get his undercoat out. I received these two Conair Pet Brushes to review, and they have definitely helped make grooming easier!

I received Conair’s Pet Ionic Pin Brush and their Medium Pin Brush. The bulkier brush is the Ionic Pin Brush which features Ionic Technology which eliminates static electricity and frizz, leaving your pets fur smooth and shiny. With a simple on/off switch, the silent ionic technology works while you brush! It also has metal and nylon bristles which helps alongside the Ionic Technology, and it’s also great for detangling. The smaller brush, with the orange comfort handle, is the Medium Pin Brush. This brush is similar to a hair brush that I would use on myself so I know how it would feel on my dog. The ball tipped brush actually makes this less-painful than those wire brushes (which my dog HATES).

Conair Pet Brushes Review

I first tried the Ionic Pin Brush on my dog because I was interested to see how the Ionic Technology would work against all his fur. I actually saw no difference in the texture or look of his fur, other than what a normal brush would do. The Medium Pin Brush worked like a charm and actually felt better to use on my dog – not only for him, but for me too! It was comfortable to use, especially with the gel comfort handle. Usually my dog tries to run away from me when brushing him, but he stood still and let me brush him. The ball tipped brush made it very easy to go through all his fur and even to get some of his undercoat out! The Ionic Pin Brush also helped to get out some fur as well.

I would definitely recommend the Medium Pin Brush as it was easy to use and definitely comfortable to both my dog and I. However, the Ionic Pin Brush was a fail for me. In the end it worked like any other brush, but for the additional price for the Ionic Technology, I would say skip it.

These items might be older, as I cannot for the life of me find them online other than London Drugs – but I would suggest trying out other pet brushes from Conair since they’re still great products!
