White Oaks Resort & Spa

When I think of travel, I always think about places that are hours away and can be traveled to by plane. White Oaks Resort & Spa is a little over an hour (driving) from where I live, and I wish I knew about it sooner! I attended a work conference at the resort last week for 3 days and absolutely loved it. Although there was some construction going on in the hotel, everything else was great.

White Oaks Resort & Spa is a luxury hotel that offers a ton of amenities. It definitely isn’t your average hotel! It’s located in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and has a vast array of rooms to choose from. They have a top rated spa, and the biggest fitness club I have ever seen at a resort.

For my 2 nights at White Oaks Resort & Spa, I stayed in one of their Platinum Rooms located on the seventh floor. I felt so important getting to have my room on that floor because it had restricted access, which is only accessible with a room key. Since I was sharing a room with a coworker, we had two queen sized beds. The room also had a 37″ tv and a side table with two cozy lavender chairs. These chairs were super comfy – enough for me to read a magazine or play on my phone. Each room at White Oaks has complimentary wifi, bar fridges, kuerig coffee makers, and cozy robes. As I mentioned previously, their fitness club is huge! It not only has a huge gym area with treadmills, ellipticals, etc, but there are also tons of squash/raquetball and tennis courts. During my work conference, we had broken out into groups inside the fitness club, where we played skill competitions against each other. We had roughly 120 people, and there was SO much room. From the outside of the resort, I would have never guessed that the hotel was this big inside. It is clearly lovedby guests and people who live nearby because there were so many people using the facilities. You can check out all their fitness amenities here.

I, unfortunately, didn’t get a chance to visit the spa since I was staying at the resort with work. However, I will definitely need to book myself a future appointment because I’ve heard so many great things about the spa. It’s one of the largest spas in Ontario with 19 treatment rooms and an exclusive couples suite. I think a weekend getaway is in need of planning real soon! One other great aspect of White Oaks Resort & Spa is that it’s conveniently located across from Outlet Collection at Niagara, a huge outlet mall with over 100 brands. I definitely went shopping before my work conference! I got some cute PJ’s from la Vie en Rose, new skincare products from The Body Shop, and some travel accessories from Winners. I also picked up lunch from Aroma and Starbucks on my way out. The mall definitely has a lot to offer!

My overall stay at White Oaks Resort & Spa was great. I almost felt like I was away at an all-inclusive with the way the hotel ran. There were always staff around when I needed help, and everyone was super friendly and attentive. The construction did cause some noise (some of my coworkers mentioned being woken up at 4:30am because of noise), but it personally didn’t bother me. It was unfortunate that construction had to go on during our stay since the pool was out of use, but guest rooms were nearby so they couldn’t work overnight to get it done.
