Skinfix – Dermatitis Face Balm

by Maddy (spilledpolish)

Skinfix - Dermatitis Face BalmOver the summer I had gotten my makeup done at Sephora and actually had my eczema flair up around my eyes. I had mentioned this to the sales associate and she quickly grabbed Skinfix’s Dermatitis Face Balm. I didn’t notice any immediate improvement, but my makeup sat nicely on my skin around my eyes, so I thought it had worked. Sephora was having a 20% off sale at the end of August, so this was the first thing added to my cart!

I was excited to see a product like this being sold in Sephora because I’ve used multiple eye creams to try and combat my eczema and nothing has worked. I didn’t expect this to work immediately, unlike my Hydrocortisone cream that works like magic (but should only be applied for a short period of time), but honestly, over the past couple of months, it hasn’t improved my eczema at all, or even soothed it.

Skinfix - Dermatitis Face Balm

I applied a thin layer of Skinfix’s Dermatitis Face Balm on my eyelids and around my eyes before going to bed so it can really soak into my skin, and so I can wear makeup the next day. Honestly, my eczema didn’t clear up or even look any better. My skin was still flaky, and painful where it cracked. I thought if it was hydrated overnight that it would at least get rid of any redness..

Honestly, this product does have good reviews, so it probably just doesn’t work well with my skin. I supposed I wouldn’t recommend this because it didn’t work for me.. but I would suggest going to Sephora and getting a sample so you can try it out before purchasing.

Have you tried Skinfix’s Dermatitis Face Balm? I’d love to know your thoughts!
