As I get older, skincare is becoming more and more important to me. I’ve given up on tanning in beds and moved to self tanners and I love it! Bali Body is a new to me brand and I’m excited to be able to try their products. Bali Body is an Australian brand and their products are full of natural and nourishing ingredients.
Bali Body has self tanners, skin care products, as well as tanning oils for those who like (& can) tan outside at a beach (if only I lived somewhere warmer!). I have their Self Tan Heros bundle ($99.95 CDN), which is perfect for a self tan right at home and ready in just a couple of hours!
The Self Tan Heros bundle is a combination of their top 3 products that will give you a glow from home. Their Luxe Moisturizing Lotion is included, which will help prep your skin prior to applying the self tanner. It’s also great to use on a daily basis to help keep your skin hydrated and help extend the life of your tan. Bali Body’s Self Tanning Mousse and Face Tan Water are their self tanning essentials. These three products all come in a Bali Body clear clutch, for easy storage and travel.
Bali Body’s Luxe Moisturing Lotion ($24.95 CDN on it’s own) is free from artificial fragrances and parabens. It’s suggested to use this prior to self tanning on any dry areas, especially the elbows, knees, hands, and feet. I’ve also been using it daily just to extend the length of my self tanner, and so when it fades away, it’s more natural.
Before and After Application (8+ hours)
The Self Tanning Mousse ($39.95 CDN on it’s own) is super easy to apply with the addition of Bali Body’s Luxe Tanning Mitt ($16.95 CDN, sold separately from this bundle). I’ve tried other mousse self tanners and I’ve loved them, so I was happy to get this. I actually really liked how this product is dark already, so it’s easy to spot where you’ve already applied it. I had a clear one (different brand), and I felt like I missed spots or went over areas multiple times because I wasn’t sure if I applied there. The cool thing about this self tanner is that you apply it and can leave it on for different periods of time to get a lighter or darker tan. You can wait 1 hour and wash it off for a light tan, 4 hours for a medium to dark tan, and up to 8 for the deepest tan.
Lastly, the Self Tan Heros bundle comes with Bali Body’s Face Tan Water ($35. 95 CDN on it’s own). I wasn’t sure if the Self Tanning Mousse could be applied to my face or not, but realized that’s what this product is for! This is a lightweight, buildable “water”, that gradually tans your face and neck. It’s enriched with anti aging sodium hyaluronate, hydrating jojoba oil, and soothing rosewater which are always a plus in any product. This product can be applied with a cotton pad all over your face, or by mixing a couple of drops into your face moisturizer to build a gradual glow.
I really enjoyed using the products in Bali Body’s Self Tan Heros bundle, as it was straight forward to use and didn’t leave any streaks (which is super important in a self tanner). The smell is probably the only thing I’m not in love with, but that’s something that comes with any tanning in general (regardless if it’s a self tan, or from tanning oils). These products are definitely great for anyone who’s looking to get a tan without having to be exposed to UV rays.
A side note for Canadians (& quite possibly Americans): The products from Bali Body include free shipping, but you MIGHT have to pay for taxes/duties upon arrival. I had to pay a little over $20 CDN.
