Revlon ColorStay Foundation

A couple of weeks ago I went to Revlon’s #ColorStayAllDay event hosted by Gigi Gorgeous. It was a fun little event and I walked away with my new favourite foundation among other goodies. I’ve heard so many people brag about Revlon ColorStay Foundation so I was excited to get it myself to test out. There was a table full of all their foundation shades and we got colour matched by a Revlon employee. I matched Shade 180 – Sand Beige for Combination/Oily Skin.

Revlon ColorStay Foundation isn’t entirely new, but it now comes with a mess-free pump and SPF protection. This is great for me because I have a hard time finding the best moisturizer with SPF already in it. It comes in 13 different shades – which I’m not entirely sure if it’s enough. I did a quick search online and saw Canada has 13 shades, where America has 35 shades… not sure why? When looking at Canada’s selection, they only have light shades – which is fine for me because I’m fair skinned, but what about everyone who has dark skin? I know for sure dark skinned girls have a hard time finding foundation and concealers to match their skin tone, so I would’ve thought a brand such as Revlon would’ve come out with more selection.

For having found the right shade for me, I honestly can’t say anything negative about this foundation. It has the perfect coverage for me – not too light and not too heavy. It covers up my blemishes, but also lets me use concealer on top of it without it looking cakey. I have combination skin, and I don’t find that I’m as oily as normal when wearing this. After wearing it for a full day, I saw that it really holds up! I would definitely purchase this foundation and recommend you do too. If you don’t have combination/oily skin, not to worry! Revlon also carries this foundation for Normal/Dry Skin.
