This year, I’ve really been into swimsuits. Especially since I stuck to a good routine trying to lose weight, and booking a 2 week trip to Bali! From January to March, I lost 10lbs by changing the amount of food I eat and going to the gym more. I felt more confident for my vacation, thankfully so since I was going to want to be in the least amount of clothes possible in that heat!
I searched the internet for weeks before settling on the exact swimsuits that I wanted. I’m a pear shape, but I didn’t love the types of swimsuits that are best for my body shape – high waisted, tankinis, etc. I bought a mixture of bikinis and one pieces, and I think both worked out great!
My favourite swimsuit from my whole vacation has to be the Venice Leaf Print Swimsuit from Boohoo. From the off the shoulder frill, to the tropical leaf print, it was just perfect for my vacation! It’s not ideal for tanning, but sure was cute for a chill day by the pool, or even paired up with some jean shorts! I got this while it was on sale for $34 CDN.

After realizing I didn’t have many bikinis, I searched the mall in a panic. I stumbled into Pink (Victoria Secret) and was mad at myself for not thinking of going there earlier. They have such a cute selection of bikinis and one pieces. This bikini was my most expensive swimsuit that I bought this year ($80 CDN), but it was definitely worth it! The quality is really good, and I felt confident wearing it (even after a day pigging out on food).
When I saw this matching bandeau top and bottom online at BooHoo, I didn’t love it at first. A bandeau top was not something I was looking for, especially because I wanted to tan and this wouldn’t left me with a solid white line across my chest! But the more I looked online, the more I started to like it. I ended up purchasing it because the pieces were sold separately, and I needed a bigger bottom and smaller top. A lot of companies only sell the same sized pieces together and that would definitely not work in my favour (For reference.. I got a size 4 for my top and size 8 for my bottom). I got each piece for $19.20 CDN.
