Your perception of the world is going to be different to the perception of the next person you speak, and their perception different to the next person. The media portrays the world in such a way that we all have a different view of what it’s like. But social media, is built to show things in a better light. The pictures you’re seeing are probably being photographed by someone who is a professional, and who knows how to get the best light and angle. The image that you would see if you were to stand before it would be completely different. It would be so much better. But discovering the world is something that only a few of us are actually lucky enough to be able to do. Well, not lucky, there are just some people out there who have more of a sense of adventure, and that’s what we think you need to have. Don’t let work hold you back, because you really are going to have a limited time to discover the world whilst you’re still young. Here’s some of the top destinations that you should put on your list, and how you can make your dreams a reality.

Top Destinations

We’re going to start with a few of our top destinations that you should be heading to first. Some of them you might think are way out of your price bracket, but if you follow the advice in the two sections following the destinations, you should easily be able to make it a reality. Discovering the world isn’t all about going to the big tourist destinations. It’s about going to the places that are off the beaten track a little, and ones that are perhaps rising to fame more and more.

Jakarta- Jakarta is a lovely Indonesian island that’s seriously underrated, the more time you spend there, the more I know you’re going to fall in love. There might not be the beautiful beaches that you can find on other Indonesian islands, but this one has so much to offer in other respects. It’s rich with culture, the food is amazing and crazy, and the scenery is just lovely. Plus, it’s a bustling business city, meaning there are plenty of business opportunities to be had if you were looking to work and travel at the same time. If you check out links like https://www.rumah.com/apartemen/disewa, you’ll be able to see plenty of properties available to be rented out to other people, giving you a nice little income as you go along. Because the price to buy a property is so cheap for us, it’ll feel like it’s costing next to nothing to get a little venture going. But, you’re not going to want to be all about making money, it’s about exploring what’s there. If you were looking to get your thrills, you could always go to the Ancol Dreamland, which is an amusement park that makes for a good day out. Or, you could spend the day shopping in Menteng. It’s a beautiful place to go where you could purchase traditional garments, or try some of the weird and wacky foods.

Sri Lanka- Sri Lanka is its own nation, part of south India, although it is separated from mainland India. It has been a popular tourist destination for a while now, especially for those who are going backpacking. We can understand why so many people decide to flock here, it is just amazing. There’s more to see and do here than you could wish for. The beaches are amazing, and the weather is usually blistering hot, which some of you might not actually like the sound of. If you were looking to explore some history, there’s plenty of it here. The Dambulla cave has long been a favourite with tourists. It’s one of the heritage sites of Sri Lanka, and is full of art and statues. Think of it as a really cool art museum! Or you could take a trip to the Temple Of Tooth. It’s a buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, and is famous for housing the sacred relic, the tooth of the Buddha. There are ceremonies and services held here which you might be able to catch a glimpse of. But, if not, the temple is just really nice to go wandering around.

New ZealandNew Zealand is a very vast country to visit. However, people seem to visit Australia first because of the popularity of it, when in fact, New Zealand actually has just as much to offer if you go and have an explore. The great thing about New Zealand is that it’s so mountainous, green, and beautiful. It’s famous for filming some of the scenes in Lord of The Rings, and Game of Thrones. If you go for a walk around Tongariro National Park, you will be walking around two active volcanoes, and you’ll venture towards where Lord of The Rings was actually filmed! Or, if you want to see something pretty cool, you could always go looking around the Waitomo caves. There’s a whole new world waiting for you under there, especially as the caves are lined with glow worms!

Dubai-  It has always been thought that with Dubai, you wouldn’t be able to do certain things, such as hold your partner’s hand whilst you’re there. But, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Dubai is now actually a really relaxed country, and one that will give you a wonderful experience. One day you could be shooting up the Burj Khalifa, and having a cocktail at one of their sky lounges, the next you could be going to the palm islands to do some paragliding. It’s just such a great place to visit if you’re looking for luxury, and out of this world experiences. It does of course come with a cost, and I do believe that taking a trip to Dubai is one of the most expensive trips you could take whilst discovering the world.
