Neostrata - Hyaluronic Acid Micro Infusion Patches & Biocellulose Mask

I’m going to be turning 30 next month, and whether I’m actually noticing signs of aging or if it’s just in my head, I’m noticing more fine lines and the beginning stages of wrinkles. Either way, I’m trying to introduce more moisture and anti-aging products into my skincare routine. Luckily for me, I went to a secret beauty product event last week and was told about all these new products that have Hyaluronic Acid in them, which are perfect for plumping up your skin! The brand was revealed soon after as Neostrata! They’ve been around for YEARS and brought some of the best known technologies to the skincare industry, such as Glycolic Acid. During Neostrata’s reveal launch, they introduced two new products – their Hyaluronic Acid Micro Infusion Patches and their Pure Hyaluronic Acid Biocellulose Mask. Both products are ideal for replenishing skin’s moisture and work in new fun ways!

Neostrata’s Hyaluronic Acid Micro Infusion Patches ($25 CDN) are unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. At first glance, I thought they were under eye masks that would help get rid of wrinkles or puffiness. However, they’re for use on your forehead/brow furrow, crow’s feet, and laugh lines. What makes these even more unique is the rough, conical side of the patches which are applied directly to your skin. The patches are applied to your area of concern, and left on overnight for the patches to infuse the surface of your skin with Hyaluronic Acid. These are designed to smooth, plump, and fill the look of lines.

I gave these patches to my mom to try out because she has deeper fine lines than me and I wanted to see if these actually made any difference. While her skin did look a lot smoother and hydrated, I do think with continued use is when you’d see longer lasting results.

If you’ve never tried a Biocellulose Mask, I highly suggest you try them out NOW. These masks cling to your face better than any other sheet mask I’ve ever tried – regardless of the brand. They stay hydrated the entire time you wear it, without ever drying out or falling off your face. Neostrata’s Pure Hyaluronic Acid Biocellulose Mask ($10 CDN – available in June 2019) is designed to hydrate and replenish your skin with the help of 0.15% Hyaluronic Acid. When opening the package for these types of masks, take note that the mask is in-between two layers of mesh liner. The first time I ever tried one, I applied the mask as-is.. with the mesh layers. I thought it was weird, especially because it felt so “thick”. The mask I had bought didn’t have any English writing on it, so I had no idea any different. Luckily, a friend on Instagram mentioned to me that I was supposed to peel away the mesh liners to reveal the actual mask! Thank goodness for beauty blogger friends, am I right?!

When I tried this mask, I left it on for 20 minutes to get the most out of it as I could. It was easy to apply, but I think it’s because I’ve used these types of masks before.. I know the first time I ever did, it was a bit tricky. When I peeled it off, I could definitely see that my skin was more hydrated. I also massaged any leftover serum into my skin and neck.

If you have the chance to pick either of these up, I’d get them! Highly recommend the Hyaluronic Acid Micro Infusion Patches as they’re innovative and actually make a difference!
