WOOOOW. I think this is the first time in a LONG time that I’m shocked by the appearance of my skin. I usually don’t see instant results from skincare products, or lasting ones either. However, since I’ve been using Neostrata’s products, my skin is on a whole other level lately. You guys know I’ve already been using Neostrata’s Hyaluronic Acid Micro Infusion Patches & Biocellulose Mask, and their Tri-Therapy Lifting Serum. Along with these products, I’ve also introduced in Neostrata’s Hydra Filling Cream, Dual Acid Antiaging Peel, and their Glycolic Microdermabrasion Polish from their Correct Antiaging Collection.
Neostrata’s Correct Anti-Aging Collection is made up of products that contain potent antiaging ingredients such as Retinol, Hyaluronic Acid, Peptides and Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) to target specific aging issues. This collection targets visible lines and wrinkles, refines skin’s texture and evens skin tone. The Hyaluronic Acid Micro Infusion Patches that I had reviewed previously also fall into Neostrata’s Correct Collection.
Neostrata’s Hydra Filling Cream ($49 CDN) has a very light formula, and I actually apply it over Neostrata’s Tri-Therapy Lifting Serum after washing my face in the evening. Since I use a mixture of the two products, I only apply this at night so my skin can really soak in the product, rather than me applying makeup over top of it.
The Hydra Filling Cream is formulated with hyaluronic acid (my favourite ingredient this year!) to attract plumping moisture to dry, dehydrated skin and it targets the skin’s hydrating matrix to improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles over time. In conjunction with the Tri-Therapy Lifting Serum, I do actually see a visible difference. My skin is more hydrated and definitely has a glow to it.
I’ve always wanted to get a glycolic peel done because I have some acne scarring and some premature wrinkles on my forehead. Neostrata’s Dual Acid Antiaging Peel ($80 CDN) is a chemical peel which targets the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I was expecting to feel some sort of tingling or effects when I applied this glycolic peel, but I felt nothing. I applied it and left it on for 15 minutes, then rinsed it off with water. There didn’t seem to be any immediate results, and even after 4 uses, I don’t personally see much of a difference. I will probably try to increase my usage, as I’ve only used it once a week in combination with the Glycolic Microdermabrasion Polish.
Now, if you’re looking for immediate results and some sort of feeling to “know it’s working” (at least that’s how I feel haha), you 100% need to purchase Neostrata’s Glycolic Microdermabrasion Polish ($85 CDN). After washing my face, I applied and scrubbed my face with this polish and left it on for 2 minutes… my face was SO SMOOTH. I saw a huge difference in my skin’s appearance, especially on my forehead where most of my scarring and fine lines are. I will never go back to using a traditional scrub on my face anymore. This scrub is gentle on your skin, but with the addition of the glycolic acid, it really gets to work!
