A few months ago, I shared with you all Pearl Whitening Boutique and the amazing job Sarah did whitening my teeth! I am super excited to share with you all that she’s moved locations and opened up her new spot – Pearl Beauty Bar! Along with the original teeth whitening services, you can also get microneedling, lashes, brows, fillers, and botox done. I’m always so proud of small businesses that I use and know personally, that have grown much larger with success. Pearl Beauty Bar is definitely one of those places that is expanding, and it’s obvious why with all the great services under one roof and an amazing group of staff!
I came to Pearl Beauty Bar over the weekend to get my teeth whitened by Sarah. I’ve only met Sarah once before, but after our initial appointment and interacting online, it was like seeing an old friend again. She is the sweetest person and so welcoming – it only made the appointment that much better.
The teeth whitening sessions are completed in 3 15-minute increments. First the lip retractor is put in so your teeth are front and centre. A gum protection gel is applied around each tooth where it meets your gums, so the whitening gel doesn’t get on your actual gums. The tooth whitening gel is then applied to each tooth, and then the blue light is placed in front of your mouth. After each 15 minute session, the whitening gel is removed and reapplied. While it could be uncomfortable to have the mouth guard in for 45 minutes straight, Sarah does apply vaseline to your lips so they don’t dry out and has Netflix going so the time feels like it’s flying by.
I had absolutely no dental sensitivity before, during, or after the session. I really like that after my appointment was finished, I was given a bag with some sensitive pro-relief toothpaste, a toothbrush, and a teeth whitening pen for an at-home session!
