Tropical Nails

The weather here in Toronto is very odd. Yesterday was rainy but 14 degrees, and today is -7… then it’s going to warm up in a few days. It’s really messing with me – more so my nail art because I’m ready for the brighter colours! I felt like going for a tropical theme for my nails today.

Tropical Nails!

To start off, I painted each nail with one coat of Beyond the Nail – Bright White. While it was drying, I applied a latex barrier around each nail for easy cleanup. When everything was dry, I got a makeup sponge and sponged over each nail with Beyond the Nail – Spring Orange Creme & Spring Red Creme. After completing this step, I peeled away the latex barrier and added one coat of Beyond the Nail – Scattered Holographic Topcoat. When those layer were completely dry, I stuck on a Hibiscus Flower Nail Decal on my ring finger. I then topped each nail off with one coat of OPI – Start to Finish. I added some pink rhinestones to the top of each nail that I bought off eBay.
