At Home Pedicures with Dr. Teals, Trim, & Sensationail

Going to salon’s to get mani & pedi’s sure add up – I’m only finding myself going when I have a vacation coming up. That being said, I do my own nails quite often so that’s why I also prefer to do everything myself. To be honest, this summer is half over and I haven’t even given myself a proper pedicure yet. I’ve only been to get it done at a salon once with my fiance in the middle of June before I went away for my friends bachelorette. So I am way overdue for an at home pedicure!

& talk about perfect timing – I was sent a lovely pedicure kit with products from Dr. Teal’s, Trim, & Sensationail! I’ve tried products from all these brands before so I was excited to use their products again.

Asides from pedicures, coming home after a long day and getting to soak your feet in epsom salts are a great way to unwind! I was excited to see Dr. Teal’s – Soothe & Sleep Pure Epsom Salt Soak with Lavender. Not only is this one of my favourite scents, but I used another one of their epsom salts during the winter and I really liked it! I poured some of this epsom salt into a bucket and soaked my feet for 20 minutes, which doesn’t ever feel quite long enough haha. My feet were so soft and smooth & it didn’t hurt that they smelled like lavender too! 100% would recommend these epsom salts – they’re even great used in baths!

To get rid of rough skin at the bottom of my heels, I used Trim’s Foot Brush & Pumice Stone. I really like using pumice stones over razors or those foot graters (that remind me of cheese graters lol) because they’re gentle but very effective! The handle on Trim’s Foot Brush & Pumice Stone has non-slip silicone around it, which is more helpful than you’d think – using this in the shower/bath will definitely make anything slippery!

After cutting down my nails, I went onto painting my nails using Sensationail’s Express Gel One Step Polish kit. This kit included their LED Lamp and their gel polish in “Made Him Blush“. I actually tried this kit 2 years ago, and while I wasn’t a fan of the quality of the polish, I wanted to try it again to see if my skills have improved over the 2 years. When I had tried these products before, I LOVED it at first, but after 1 day of wearing the nail polish, it started to chip immediately – so it’s safe to say I was skeptical about this polish again. I applied this on my toes and fingernails to see the difference in wear.

On my toes, the polish lasted around 3 days before my first chip, but my fingernails didn’t even last 24 hours without chipping. So I regrettably have to admit that I don’t like the gel polishes from Sensationail, BUT I do love their LED Lamp. The lamp is small and convenient to bring and use anywhere! I tried it with another brand of gel polishes, and it cured it within 30 seconds. I would hands down recommend the LED Lamp!
