A couple of posts back, I reviewed Sensationail’s Express Gel Kit. Thank goodness BornPrettyStore sent me their Silicone Soak Off Caps, otherwise I would’ve had to soak my fingers in acetone for a while! Their pack of Silicone Soak Off Caps comes with 5 reusable individual caps. I’ve always seen people use cotton balls and tin foil or elastics to hold it onto their nails as a way to soak off their gel polish. BornPrettyStore’s Silicone Soak Off Caps were very easy to use and made me rethink using gel polishes.
To use these, I got a cotton pad and cut it in half. I soaked it with acetone, wrapped my nail in it and then placed the Silicone Soak Off Caps over each nail. I left them on my nails for around 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, I took off each silicone cap and rubbed each nail with the cotton pad as if it were normal nail polish. The majority of the gel polish came off, with only the sides of my nails still having nail polish on. Nothing a cuticle pusher couldn’t scrape off 🙂
